Arlington VA. (September 24, 2024) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR-42.12 Engineering Committee on Optical Fibers and Cables has issued a ballot and call for comments on document TIA-455-84-C initially titled ” FOTP-84 Jacket Self-Adhesion (Blocking) Test for Optical Fiber Cable”.
Stakeholders are invited to contact TIA regarding participation in the development of this and other TIA standards. The stakeholders may include but are not limited to, the telecom industry, specifically cable and connector manufacturers and assembly.
TIA is seeking broad input as per the public review announcement in ANSI’s Standards Action for directly and materially affected parties. In addition, we are actively seeking participation in this process from the user and general interest communities.
