Arlington VA (July 14, 2026) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR-42.5 Engineering Committee on Telecommunications Infrastructure Terms and Symbols has issued a ballot and call for comments to reaffirm document ANSI/TIA-440-C, initially titled “Fiber Optic Terminology”.
TIA is seeking broad input as per the public review announcement in ANSI’s Standards Action for directly and materially affected parties. In addition, we are actively seeking participation in this process from the user and general interest communities.
