Arlington VA (January 13, 2026) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR-42.1 Engineering Committee on Premises Telecommunications Infrastructure has issued a recirculation ballot and call for comments on document TIA-5017-A initially titled “Telecommunications Physical Network Security Standard”.
Stakeholders are invited to contact TIA regarding participation in the development of this and other TIA standards. The stakeholders may include but are not limited to Cabling system designers, consultants, architects, engineers, manufacturers, facilities management organizations, contractors, and integrators.
TIA is seeking broad input as per the public review announcement in ANSI’s Standards Action for directly and materially affected parties. In addition, we are actively seeking participation in this process from the user and general interest communities.
