TIA Issues Call for Interest on new Project for Interoperability Testing for Voice Operation in Trunked Systems. Addendum 1 – System Call

Arlington, VA (February 24, 2020) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR-8.25 Engineering Committee on Compliance Assessment has issued a call for interest for document TIA-102.CABC-C-1 initially titled “Interoperability Testing for Voice Operation in Trunked Systems.  Addendum 1 – System Call.”

TR-8.25 is developing guidelines in the area defined by the following scope: “This addendum is a direct replacement for sub-clauses 2.2.14.3 (“Initial Conditions”) and 2.2.14.4 (“Procedure”) of TIA-102.CABC-C “2.2.14 Test Suite: System Call.”

The stakeholders may include but are not limited to producers and users of Project 25 Public Safety Radio Equipment.

TIA is actively seeking participation on these projects from the user and general interest communities.

For more information about TR-8 and how to participate in standards development with TIA, contact Victoria Mitchell at standards@tiaonline.org.

A major function of the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) is the writing and maintenance of voluntary industry standards and specifications. These activities are carried out by the volunteer members of TIA engineering committees. Recent meeting reports, agendas and notices for upcoming meetings, as well as links to some of the most popular standards from each committee are available on TIA’s public engineering committee pages.
