(February 26, 2026) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR-42.1 Engineering Committee on Premises Telecommunications Infrastructure has issued a call for interest for document TIA-942-C-1 initially titled ” Telecommunications Infrastructure Standard for Data Centers- Addendum 1: Artificial Intelligence”. TR-42.1 is developing guidelines in the area defined by the following scope: The purpose of this addendum to ANSI/TIA-942-C is to provide updates to TIA-942-C to accommodate artificial intelligence (AI) computing.
The stakeholders may include, but are not limited to: Cabling system designers, installers, consultants, architects, manufacturers, cabling systems owners, facilities management organizations, contractors.
TIA is actively seeking participation in these projects from the user and general interest communities.
