TIA Issues Call for Interest on new Project for Trunking Control Channel Messages Addendum 2- Vehicle Sensed Emergency

Arlington VA. (June 26, 2017) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR-8.10 Engineering Committee on Trunking and Conventional Control has issued a call for interest for document ANSI/TIA-102.AABC-D-2 initially titled “Trunking Control Channel Messages Addendum 2- Vehicle Sensed Emergency”.

This addendum enhances trunking control channel messages by specifying a “Vehicle Sensed Emergency” (VSE) bit in the “Special Information” field of the EMRG_ALRM_REQ message to convey additional information regarding a specific emergency alarm scenario request.

The stakeholders may include, but are not limited to: P25 manufacturers and users.

TIA actively seeks participation in these projects from the user and general interest communities. For more information, contact:

Director, Standards and Program Development: Marianna Kramáriková at mkramarikova@tiaonline.org.
