Arlington VA (September 11, 2025) – The Telecommunications Industry Association, which develops standards for the information and communications technology industry, has released a new document, ANSI/TIA-455-16-B, FOTP-16 Salt Spray (Corrosion) Test for Fiber Optic Components.
ANSI/TIA-455-16-B is to revise FOTP-16 Salt Spray (Corrosion) Test for Fiber Optic Components. Revision includes but not limited to removing outdated references, correcting the salt solution temperature when measuring pH level, and updating salt solution gravity vs temperature chart.
