Arlington VA (November 5, 2025) – The Telecommunications Industry Association, which develops standards for the information and communications technology industry, has released a new document, ANSI/TIA-623.1, IEC 61755-3-1:2024, Fiber Optic Interconnecting Devices and Passive Components-Connector Optical Interfaces- Part 3-1: Connector Parameters of Dispersion Unshifted Single-mode Physically Contacting Fibers- Non-angled 2,5 mm and 1,25 mm Diameter Cylindrical Full Zirconia Ferrules.
ANSI/TIA-623.1 is an adoption of IEC 61755-3-1:2024, Fiber Optic Interconnecting Devices and Passive Components-Connector Optical Interfaces- Part 3-1: Connector Parameters of Dispersion Unshifted Single-mode Physically Contacting Fibers- Non-angled 2,5 mm and 1,25 mm Diameter Cylindrical Full Zirconia Ferrules.
